The Serpent in the Garden: An Allegorical and Literal Revelation of Redemption, Elohim’s Law, and Yahshua Messiah

 An Allegory

From Genesis to Revelation, the Scriptures are rich with meaning—literal history and profound symbolism layered together by the Spirit of Elohim. At the heart of this duality is the literary tool known as allegory—a method by which deeper spiritual truths are communicated through characters, events, and images.

Allegory (Greek: ἀλληγορία, allēgoria) means “to speak otherwise.” It is the expression of truth through symbolic figures or actions, often used to teach spiritual principles beneath the surface narrative.

📖 Introduction: What Is Allegory and Why It Matters

In understanding Scripture—especially the early chapters of Genesis—we must appreciate the layered way Elohim communicates truth. One such divine method is allegory.

Allegory is a literary or teaching technique in which a story, character, or event operates on two levels: a literal one and a symbolic one. It conveys a hidden spiritual or moral truth through symbolic imagery or narrative.

Definition:

Unlike simple metaphor, which compares one thing to another, an allegory unfolds across entire scenes or stories, with each element representing a deeper truth.

In Scripture, this form is often used by the prophets, by Yahshua in His parables, and even in historical events like the fall of man. Allegory does not cancel the literal—it enriches it, offering a greater understanding of Elohim’s eternal truths.

📘 Understanding Allegory: A Key to Interpreting Scripture

The word allegory comes from the Greek allēgoria, meaning "to speak otherwise." It is a narrative device where real events or people symbolically represent greater spiritual truths.

Allegory is:

  • Symbolic: Objects and actions stand for deeper realities.

  • Dual-layered: A literal surface meaning and a deeper, spiritual message.

  • Didactic: It teaches moral or eternal lessons.

  • Biblically rooted: Frequently used by prophets and by Yahshua Himself.

Luke 8:11 (KJV)
"Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of Elohim."

Yahshua taught in parables—stories with a hidden spiritual truth. In the same way, Genesis 3, while being a record of real events, is also saturated with allegory—conveying the story of humanity’s fall, the battle between obedience and rebellion, and the hope of redemption through Yahshua.

🧱 The Literal Structure of Genesis 3

Genesis 3 introduces us to the historical events that changed the destiny of mankind:

Genesis 3:1–6 (KJV)
"Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD Elohim had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath Elohim said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?... And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food... she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat."

Here we are introduced to:

  • Real individuals: Adam and Eve.

  • A real location: The Garden of Eden.

  • A real command from Elohim: not to eat of the tree.

  • A real consequence: death and separation from fellowship.

Romans 5:12 (KJV)
"Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned."

According to the teaching of Andrew N. Dugger, this chapter is to be taken as literal history—yet he also emphasizes that its layers of meaning are spiritually profound and essential to grasping the plan of redemption.

🧩 The Allegorical Meaning: Spiritual Realities Behind the Scene

Proverbs 25:2 (KJV)
"It is the glory of Elohim to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter."

The allegory in Genesis 3 reveals timeless truths:

🔹 Adam and Eve — Humanity as a Whole

Though literal people, Adam and Eve also symbolize all mankind. Their temptation, choice, and fall represent our own spiritual journey—faced with decisions to obey Elohim’s commandments or to seek independence.

Ecclesiastes 7:29 (KJV)
"Elohim hath made man upright; but they have sought out many inventions."

Dugger taught that this fall was not by accident, but by conscious rebellion—a picture of our universal condition.

🔹 The Serpent — Satan, the Adversary

Genesis 3:1 (KJV)
"Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast..."

While the serpent appears as a creature, Scripture reveals its identity:

Revelation 12:9 (KJV)
"That old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world..."

Dugger affirmed this: the serpent embodied Satan’s deception, introducing doubt, rebellion, and opposition to Elohim’s will.

🔹 The Tree of Knowledge — Elohim’s Law

Elohim’s command not to eat from the tree set a divine boundary:

Genesis 2:17 (KJV)
"But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it..."

This tree represents Elohim’s commandments—His clear moral instructions. To eat was to break His law.

Deuteronomy 30:15–16 (KJV)
"See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil..."

1 John 3:4 (KJV)
"Sin is the transgression of the law."

Dugger wrote that the commandments are the measurement of righteousness, and this tree illustrated man's freedom—and responsibility—to obey.

🔹 The Fruit — The Choice of Rebellion

The fruit represents a willful act of sin.

James 1:14–15 (KJV)
"Every man is tempted... when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin..."

Eve’s act is the spiritual archetype of disobedience—choosing human reasoning over Elohim’s command.

🔹 Nakedness — The Knowledge of Guilt

Genesis 3:7 (KJV)
"They knew that they were naked..."

Their awareness of nakedness symbolizes the soul’s awareness of guilt and shame—a broken fellowship with Elohim.

🔹 Fig Leaves — Man’s Self-Righteousness

Genesis 3:7 (KJV)
"They sewed fig leaves together..."

Man tries to cover sin with his own works.

Isaiah 64:6 (KJV)
"All our righteousnesses are as filthy rags..."

Dugger emphasized that man’s effort to atone for sin without blood is futile.

🔹 Animal Skins — Elohim’s Covering Through Sacrifice

Genesis 3:21 (KJV)
"Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD Elohim make coats of skins..."

This was the first bloodshed, a foreshadowing of Yahshua—the Lamb of Elohim who would cover sin with His righteousness.

Hebrews 9:22 (KJV)
"Without shedding of blood is no remission."

Revelation 13:8 (KJV)
"The Lamb slain from the foundation of the world."

🌱 The Promise of Redemption: The Seed of the Woman

Genesis 3:15 (KJV)
"And I will put enmity between thee and the woman... it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel."

This is the first prophecy of Yahshua Messiah.

Romans 16:20 (KJV)
"The Elohim of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly."

Galatians 4:4 (KJV)
"Elohim sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law..."

Luke 1:35 (KJV)
"The holy thing... shall be called the Son of Elohim."

Dugger recognized this as the earliest Messianic prophecy, promising restoration through the Seed of the woman—Yahshua.

"My sabbaths... a sign between me and you..."

Even after the fall, the commandments of Elohim remain the standard of righteousness, and the Sabbath remains the sign of covenant and rest:

Hebrews 4:9 (KJV)
"There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of Elohim."

🧠 Dugger’s Teaching: History with Spiritual Depth

Andrew N. Dugger wrote:

“Sin entered into the world by disobedience, and man was driven from the presence of Elohim. The promise of the woman’s seed crushing the head of the serpent was a declaration of Elohim’s plan of redemption through the Messiah to come.”

He understood:

  • The serpent = Satan

  • The tree = Elohim’s law

  • The fall = deliberate rebellion

  • The skins = the righteousness provided through Yahshua

🌟 Conclusion: Allegory with Substance, History with Redemption

Genesis 3 is:

  • A literal account of disobedience and consequence.

  • A symbolic prophecy of our condition and hope.

  • A foundation for understanding Elohim’s law, sin, and atonement.

Psalm 19:7 (KJV)
"The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul..."

Hebrews 9:22 (KJV)
"Without shedding of blood is no remission."

Revelation 13:8 (KJV)
"The Lamb slain from the foundation of the world."

Let us not read Genesis 3 merely as history—but as a revelation of Elohim’s righteous law, humanity’s failure, and the beautiful provision of salvation through Yahshua Messiah, the Seed of the Woman.

Who or What Is Satan? A Complete Scripture-Based Study

By Ndeni Mwangi Waite a Student of the Word, Church of Elohim

🧭 Abstract

This study explores the identity of “Satan” strictly from the King James Version (KJV), supported by traditional, allegorical, and theological sources. Contrary to popular belief, Scripture NEVER defines Satan as a fallen angel named Lucifer. Instead, “Satan” consistently refers to disobedience, an adversarial condition, or a legal accuser. This study surveys scriptural usage, symbolism, traditional teachings, and spiritual application—concluding with practical steps to overcome the adversary through obedience to Elohim and faith in Yahshua.

1. Introduction: Why This Study Matters

Understanding who or what "Satan" is according to Scripture is essential for every believer. Many have accepted traditions that lack Biblical foundation. The aim here is to let Scripture define Satan without assumptions or theological speculation.

"To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them." (Isaiah 8:20, KJV)

Many believe Satan is a rebellious angel or a literal fallen spirit, based on centuries of tradition.

Misunderstanding Satan can distort how we view obedience, sin, and spiritual warfare.

2. Origin and Meaning of the Name "Satan"

The Hebrew term "satan" (שָׂטָן – śāṭān) means "adversary" or "accuser" and is used both as a title and a description, not a proper name.

"And Elohim's anger was kindled because he went: and the angel of Elohim stood in the way for an adversary against him." (Numbers 22:22, KJV)

"And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of Elohim, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him." (Zechariah 3:1, KJV)

"Now there was a day when the sons of Elohim came to present themselves before Elohim, and Satan came also among them." (Job 1:6, KJV)

These verses show that Satan is used as a descriptive role — not a personal name.

Transliteration: Vayichar-af Elohim ki-holech hu, vayityatzev mal’ach Elohim baderekh lesatan lo; vehu rochev al-atonò, ushené ne’arav imo.

📖 Adjusted KJV-style Translation:

"And Elohim’s anger was kindled because he went: and the angel of Elohim stood in the way for an adversary against him. Now he was riding upon his ass, and his two servants were with him.

3. Satan in the Hebrew Scriptures (Old Testament)

In the Hebrew Scriptures, Satan functions as an accuser or opposer, sometimes permitted by Elohim.

"And Satan stood up against Israel, and provoked David to number Israel." (1 Chronicles 21:1, KJV)

"And again the anger of Elohim was kindled against Israel, and he moved David against them to say, Go, number Israel and Judah." (2 Samuel 24:1, KJV)

These parallel verses show that Satan as an adversary could be used by Elohim to fulfill judgment.

"And Elohim came unto Balaam at night, and said unto him, If the men come to call thee, rise up, and go with them... And Elohim's anger was kindled because he went: and the angel of Elohim stood in the way for an adversary [satan] against him." (Numbers 22:20-22, KJV)

4. Satan in the Writings of the Disciples (New Testament)

The New Testament continues the pattern of referring to Satan as a force of opposition.

"But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me." (Matthew 16:23, KJV)

"Then saith Yahshua unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship Elohim, and him only shalt thou serve." (Matthew 4:10, KJV)

"And the Master said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat." (Luke 22:31, KJV)

These references show Satan as a symbol or spirit of opposition — even appearing in righteous contexts to test or try.

📌 What Did Yahshua Mean When He Said, "he Was a Murderer from the Beginning"?

In speaking to the religious leaders who opposed Him, Yahshua Messiah made a striking declaration:

“Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.”
John 8:44 (KJV)

This statement unveils a deep truth about the adversary — known in Hebrew as satan, meaning "adversary" or "accuser." The Messiah identifies him as both a murderer and a liar from the beginning. But what does this mean?

🔍 How Was He a Murderer “from the Beginning”?

The term "from the beginning" refers to the devil’s first involvement with mankind in the Garden of Eden. He did not physically kill Adam and Eve, but he instigated their disoúbedience, leading to spiritual and physical death.

And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For Elohim doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened...”
Genesis 3:4–5 (KJV)

Here, the devil directly contradicted Elohim’s Word, deceiving Eve into sin. That single lie plunged all humanity into sin and death.

“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.”
Romans 5:12 (KJV)

Thus, Satan became a murderer — not with a sword, but with a lie. His weapon was deception; his result was death.

📖 The Witness of Other Scriptures in New Testament

Yahshua's words in John 8:44 are confirmed by other passages:

“He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of Elohim was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.”
1 John 3:8 (KJV)

“Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother’s righteous.”
1 John 3:12 (KJV)

The same spirit that worked in Eden worked through Cain, who murdered Abel. Both acts stemmed from the same adversarial source — the devil, who has always stood in opposition to Elohim's truth and righteousness.

✨ A Spiritual Warning

Yahshua warned that those who reject the truth and follow lies are doing the will of the devil, even if outwardly religious. The devil’s children are not merely atheists or criminals — they are any who love lies, despise truth, and walk in rebellion.

The Messiah calls His followers to walk in truth, for:

“The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.”
John 6:63 (KJV

5. What About "Devil," "Dragon," and "Serpent"

These are symbolic representations often misunderstood as names.

"And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world." (Revelation 12:9, KJV)

"Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning." (John 8:44, KJV)

"Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which Elohim had made." (Genesis 3:1, KJV)

These symbols relate to deception, lies, and opposition — traits of sin, not of a fallen angel.

6. Satan During the Reign of Yahshua the Messiah

The Scriptures predict that during the Messianic reign, this adversary will be restrained.

"And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit... And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years." (Revelation 20:1-2, KJV)

"That he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled." (Revelation 20:3, KJV)

This signifies that the power or influence of disobedience will be restrained.

7. Does Elohim Use an Adversary?

Yes. Elohim allows adversaries to bring judgment, correction, or testing.

"Shall there be evil in a city, and Elohim hath not done it?" (Amos 3:6, KJV)

"Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass, when Elohim commandeth it not? Out of the mouth of the Most High proceedeth not evil and good?" (Lamentations 3:37–38, KJV)

"Deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of Yahshua." (1 Corinthians 5:5, KJV)

8. Personal Reflection: Disobedience as the Real Enemy

Disobedience is the true adversary — not a named spirit.

"But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed." (James 1:14, KJV)

"For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts... All these evil things come from within, and defile the man." (Mark 7:21-23, KJV)

"By thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned." (Matthew 12:37, KJV)

9. Allegories, Traditions, and Misapplied Passages

Some popular interpretations are not supported by direct context.

"How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning!" (Isaiah 14:12, KJV) — Addressed to the King of Babylon, not Satan.

"Thou hast been in Eden the garden of Elohim... thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created." (Ezekiel 28:13-15, KJV) — Addressed to the King of Tyre.

These are allegories or poetic judgments on human kings.

10. How Believers Resist Satan: A Lesson From the Church of Elohim

Believers overcome the adversary by submitting to Elohim and walking in obedience.

"Submit yourselves therefore to Elohim. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." (James 4:7, KJV)

"Put on the whole armour of Elohim, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil." (Ephesians 6:11, KJV)

"Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of Elohim, and the faith of Yahshua." (Revelation 14:12, KJV)

11. Conclusion: Overcoming the Adversary

The adversary is disobedience and rebellion. Through the Spirit and truth of Yahshua, we overcome by keeping Elohim's commandments.

"And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony." (Revelation 12:11, KJV)

"Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life." (Revelation 22:14, KJV)

Neither Bow Nor Be Bowed To: Guarding Pure Worship

"Thou Shalt Not Bow Down Thyself"

"Thou shalt not bow" is drawn from the Second Commandment in the Bible, specifically relating to idolatry. The full commandment is found in Exodus 20:4–5 (KJV):

"Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy Elohim am a jealous
Elohim, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me."

What does "Thou shalt not bow" mean?

This command prohibits the worship of idols or images. The act of bowing down is a symbol of worship, reverence, or submission. Therefore, this commandment means:

  • Do not worship created things (images, statues, celestial bodies, animals, or men) in place of the Creator.

  • Do not submit your loyalty or spiritual reverence to anything other than Elohim.

  • Bowing in this context represents devotion and is reserved for Elohim alone.

Biblical examples that reinforce this:

  • Daniel 3:18 (KJV) – The three Hebrew boys refused to bow to Nebuchadnezzar’s golden image:

"But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up."

  • Revelation 22:8–9 (KJV) – Even when John bowed to an angel, he was told not to:

"Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant... worship God."

Why is this commandment important?

It guards against spiritual deception, keeps the worship of Elohim pure, and underscores His exclusive sovereignty. In a world where many things demand allegiance, this command reminds us to worship only Yahshua and the Father, not any image, religious object, political figure, or system.

A. N. Dugger’s perspective

Let’s explore the commandment "Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them"—with a deep dive into A. N. Dugger’s perspective, especially as found in the teachings of the Church of Elohim (7th Day) and the doctrinal emphasis.

What Does “Thou Shalt Not Bow” Mean According to the Scriptures?

Exodus 20:4–5 (KJV):

"Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy Elohim am a jealous Elohim..."

This commandment is the second of the Ten Commandments. It explicitly forbids:

  • The creation of idols,

  • The bowing or worshiping of them,

  • And the service or acts of devotion toward them.

The term "bow down" in Hebrew (תִּשְׁתַּחֲוֶ֣הtishtachaveh) refers to physical prostration, but it implies deep spiritual reverence or worship—the kind that belongs to Elohim alone.

A. N. Dugger’s Teaching on Idolatry and Bowing

A. N. Dugger, one of the prominent voices in the Church of Elohim (7th Day) movement, emphasized a strict, literal obedience to the Ten Commandments, including the rejection of all forms of idolatry, both literal and spiritual.

1. Rejection of Graven Images in Worship

Dugger taught that the use of images or symbols in religious devotion whether crosses, statues, icons, or even pictures of ''Messiah'' was a violation of the Second Commandment. He saw this as a remnant of Roman Catholic apostasy, and part of the Babylonian system mentioned in Revelation 17.

He argued that:

“True worship must be spiritual and based on truth—not on symbols or the senses. The carnal man seeks a god he can see, touch, and place before him, but Elohim is not worshiped with man’s hands, nor housed in man-made images.”

This follows Acts 17:29 (KJV):

"Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of Elohim, we ought not to think that the Elohimhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device."

2. Bowing to Political or Religious Systems Is Also Idolatry

Dugger’s writings also expand the understanding of “bowing” to include submitting to systems or powers that oppose Elohim’s law. For example:

  • Bowing to Sunday observance instead of keeping the seventh-day Sabbath was seen as spiritual idolatry.

  • Accepting state-imposed religious creeds, ecclesiastical councils, or traditions that overrule the Word of Elohim was also seen as bowing down to another master.

He linked this with Revelation 13, where the beast causes all to worship (or bow to) his image:

“To bow to the laws of man when they contradict the law of Elohim is idolatry. We must say as Peter did: ‘We ought to obey Elohim rather than men’” (Acts 5:29, KJV).

How Did Dugger View Bowing in Literal and Figurative Terms?

  • Literal Bowing: Dugger taught that kneeling before a statue, a crucifix, or a holy relic is forbidden;  even if one claims to be honoring Elohim. Worship must be without image or likeness.

  • Spiritual Bowing: Dugger emphasized that even the spiritual submission to false doctrine, tradition, or worldly systems is a form of bowing to a false image of “god.”

He often quoted Romans 6:16 (KJV):

"Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey..."

Thus, to submit or bow to any doctrine, system, or authority that replaces Yahshua’s word and commandments is to bow to another image and that’s forbidden.

Examples in Scripture Highlighted in Dugger’s Teaching

1. Daniel and the Image of Gold (Daniel 3)

Dugger frequently cited the refusal of Hannaniah, Mishael, and Azariah to bow to the golden image, even under threat of death.

“These men chose the fiery furnace over violating Elohim’s command. This is the faith and courage needed in the last days, when the image of the beast shall again demand worship.”

2. Elijah and the Baal Worshipers (1 Kings 18)

Dugger likened modern idolatry to the worship of Baal—religious confusion mixed with truth and error, promoted by false prophets.

3. Revelation 14:9–10 (KJV)

"If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of Elohim..."

Dugger interpreted this as a last-days warning: bowing down to false systems (Christianity, Islam, Traditional), even if they appear Messianic “,” is rebellion against Elohim.

Conclusion: What Should a True Believer Do?

A. N. Dugger’s instruction was clear:

  • Never bow physically or spiritually to anything or anyone but Elohim.

  • Do not use images, symbols, or idols in worship.

  • Do not submit to religious systems or laws that replace the commandments of Elohim.

  • Keep the commandments including the Sabbath with spiritual integrity.

“The Church must come out of Babylon and be separate. Bowing to idols or to the religious systems of men is spiritual fornication. Yahshua is our only Master.”A. N. Dugger

 The phrase:

🪔 “Thou Shalt Not Bow Down Thyself” – The Second Commandment and Acts 14:11–23

True believers must reject being bowed to or worshiped, no matter the intention

📜 The Second Commandment:

“Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath... Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God…”
Exodus 20:4–5, KJV

This commandment forbids:

  • The creation of idols

  • The act of bowing down or showing reverence or submission to anything or anyone other than Elohim

  • Any form of worship outside the living Elohim

🔎 Acts 14:11–23 in Focus:

When Paul and Barnabas heal the crippled man in Lystra, the people, in their pagan worldview, immediately believe divinity is present in human form. They shout:

“The gods are come down to us in the likeness of men.”
Acts 14:11

They call Barnabas Jupiter (Zeus) and Paul Mercurius (Hermes), and prepare oxen and garlands to offer sacrifice. This is both a cultural and religious response — an attempt to bow down and worship men as gods.

🚫 Paul and Barnabas Refuse the Worship:

“Which when the apostles, Barnabas and Paul, heard of, they rent their clothes, and ran in among the people, crying out...”
Acts 14:14

They vehemently refuse:

  • Tearing their clothes (a Jewish sign of grief and horror at blasphemy)

  • Rushing out publicly to stop the idolatrous act

  • Declaring they are only “men of like passions”, not divine

🔥 Essence of True Worship:

Paul then shifts the focus:

“Turn from these vanities unto the living Elohim, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein.”
Acts 14:15

This mirrors the Second Commandment:

  • Directing people away from “vanities” (idols)

  • Calling for exclusive worship of the Creator, not the creature (cf. Romans 1:25)

📖 Biblical Pattern: True Servants Reject Worship

1. John and the Angel (Revelation 19:10; 22:8–9):

When John bows to an angel:

“See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant... worship God.”

Even angels, as exalted as they are, refuse worship.

2. Peter and Cornelius (Acts 10:25–26):

Cornelius falls at Peter’s feet:

“Stand up; I myself also am a man.”

True apostles and prophets never receive honor that belongs to Elohim alone.

💡 Why This Matters:

🔹 1. Elohim is a Jealous Elohim (Ex. 20:5):

  • He demands exclusive worship

  • Jealousy here means His righteous intolerance of any rival worship

🔹 2. Worship Cannot Be Shared:

  • Even if people bow with good intent (like honoring a prophet), it's still idolatry if it elevates man above his station.

🔹 3. Images, Icons, and Veneration Today:

  • Many bow to images of “saints,” Mary, angels, or even “Jesus” as pictured in art.

  • This is not Biblical worship but a violation of the Second Commandment.

  • Pictures and statues become representations of the divine, leading to bowing, prayer, or offering reverence, which is prohibited.

🧱 Conclusion:

The incident in Acts 14 is a clear, New Testament demonstration of the Second Commandment in action:

  • Paul and Barnabas are worshiped falsely, yet instead of accepting it, they cry out in grief and protest.

  • They redirect worship to the only true Elohim, the Creator.

  • It underscores that even sincere people can fall into idolatry — and it is the duty of the righteous to rebuke it and restore true worship.

⚠️ From Lystra Acts 14:14 to Today: The Unchanging Command Against Idolatry

If apostles and angels refused to be bowed to, how much more should we reject every image, title, or religious figure that demands or receives bowing today?
Let us worship the Father in spirit and in truth (John 4:24), and honor the Lamb alone (Revelation 5:13).

Exodus 20:3–5 (KJV):

"Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image…
Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy Elohim am a jealous Elohim..."

Answer:
Yes. Elohim declares Himself a jealous Elohim, intolerant of idolatry or divided loyalty. This is not human jealousy but divine zeal for righteousness and exclusive worship. His jealousy guards His people from spiritual adultery.

2. What did the Lord Elohim forbid His people to make unto themselves?

Exodus 20:23 (KJV):

"Ye shall not make with me gods of silver, neither shall ye make unto you gods of gold."
Leviticus 26:1 (KJV):
"Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image..."
Deuteronomy 4:15–18, 23–24 (KJV):
"...Take ye therefore good heed... Lest ye corrupt yourselves, and make you a graven image... For the Lord thy Elohim is a consuming fire, even a jealous Elohim."

Answer:
He forbade the making of idols, images, or any physical representation of Elohim, man, beast, or anything in creation. These were never to be objects of veneration or religious honor.

3. When Israel disobeyed this commandment shortly after leaving Egypt, how many of them did Elohim consume in one day?

Exodus 32:28–21 (KJV):

"And there fell of the people that day about three thousand men... Moses said... Ye have sinned a great sin."

Answer:
About 3,000 Israelites were slain in one day because they worshiped the golden calf. This was the first national violation of the Second Commandment and a severe judgment followed.

4. What did the Lord our Elohim command His people when they were to inherit the land promised unto their fathers?

Numbers 33:51–52 (KJV):

"Speak unto the children of Israel... Ye shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land... and destroy all their pictures, and destroy all their molten images..."

Answer:
They were to completely destroy all idols, images, and high places of pagan worship. No trace of idolatry was to remain in the land of inheritance.

5. Was Israel obedient in this?

Ezekiel 23:12–16 (KJV):

"She doted upon the Assyrians... with all their idols she defiled herself... as soon as she saw them with her eyes, she doted upon them..."

Answer:
No. Israel lusted after the idols and customs of foreign nations. This spiritual infidelity was seen as adultery in the eyes of Elohim.

6. At the time of Ezekiel, did Israel worship images and idols? Was this an abomination to the Lord?

Ezekiel 8:5, 10 (KJV):

"...Behold northward at the gate of the altar this image of jealousy... every form of creeping things, and abominable beasts, and all the idols..."

Answer:
Yes. Israel worshiped abominable images, even in the Temple itself. These acts provoked the wrath of Elohim and were called abominations.

7. Upon what will the Lord show His displeasure when He comes?

Isaiah 2:12, 16 (KJV):

"For the day of the Lord... shall be upon everyone that is proud and lofty... and upon all pleasant pictures."

Answer:
The Lord’s judgment will fall on the proud and on all images, idols, and artwork used in worship. Even “pleasant pictures” are condemned if they lead to reverence or religious significance.

8. What was John told when he bowed down to worship an angel?

Revelation 19:10; 22:8–9 (KJV):

"See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant... worship ELOHIM."

Answer:
John was immediately rebuked. Even angels must not receive worship—only Elohim is worthy of worship.

9. Whom did Yahshua say we should worship?

John 4:23–24 (KJV):

"...The true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth... ELOHIM is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth."

Answer:
Yahshua taught that true worship is directed to the Father, not through physical objects but in spirit and truth. Worship must not rely on images, places, or icons.

10. Who were the angels asked to worship?

Hebrews 1:6 (KJV):

"And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of Elohim worship him."

Answer:
All angels were commanded to worship the Son, Yahshua the Messiah, showing His divine status and rightful place in worship alongside the Father.

Note:

We must worship the Father and the Son—not angels, saints, or created beings. Praying to angels or to those who have died is unscriptural and classified as idolatry.

11. What are we particularly warned to flee from by the apostle Paul?

1 Corinthians 10:14 (KJV):

"Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry."

Answer:
Paul commands believers to flee—not flirt with—idolatry. This command is repeated throughout both the Old and New Testaments.

Note:

As A. N. Dugger emphasized:

“An idol need not be made of wood or stone. Anything or anyone given spiritual devotion other than Elohim and His Son is idolatry.”

The dictionary defines an idolater as “an adorer of images... one excessively fond of a person or thing.” This includes even pictures of Messiah or saints when used in reverence.

12. What did Paul and Barnabas do when people attempted to worship them?

Acts 14:11–18 (KJV):

"...they rent their clothes, and ran in among the people, crying out... We also are men of like passions with you..."

Answer:
Paul and Barnabas tore their clothes in horror and stopped the people from offering worship to them. They pointed all glory to Elohim, the Creator.

13. Where will all idolaters have their part?

Revelation 21:8 (KJV):

"...idolaters... shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."

Answer:
All idolaters—whether they worship physical idols or spiritually replace Elohim—will face eternal judgment in the lake of fire unless they repent.

Final Thought:

The command "Thou shalt not bow down thyself" is more than avoiding statues. It is a call to pure worship—free from tradition, imagery, false reverence, or any influence that dishonors Elohim’s spiritual nature.

Let us worship Elohim in Spirit and in Truth, with no intermediaries, and live in holy reverence to the One True Elohim and His Son, Yahshua Messiah.

Elohim is a jealous Elohim

The phrase Elohim is a jealous Elohim” comes from several passages in Scripture and expresses a profound spiritual truth about the nature of Elohim, the true and living Elohim.

📖 Scripture Source

“For thou shalt worship no other god: for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous Elohim.”
Exodus 34:14, KJV

“Thou shalt have no other gods before me. … Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy Elohim am a jealous Elohim…”
Exodus 20:3, 5, KJV

💡 Meaning of "Jealous" in This Context

The Hebrew word translated as “jealous” is קַנָּא (qanna’), used only of Elohim in the Tanakh. It does not mean envy as humans feel it, but rather:

  • Exclusive devotion: Elohim demands exclusive worship from His people because He alone is their Creator, Redeemer, and Sustainer.

  • Covenant faithfulness: Just as a husband would be righteously jealous for the love and fidelity of his wife, so Elohim is jealous when His people turn to other “gods” or idols.

  • Righteous indignation: His jealousy is a holy and just response to spiritual adultery when His people break covenant and pursue idolatry.

🕊️ How Does This Reflect the Nature of Elohim?

  • He is personal: Not an impersonal force, but one who enters into a covenant relationship with His people.

  • He is holy: He cannot and will not tolerate idolatry or divided loyalty.

  • He is loving: His jealousy is born out of love and concern for His people, desiring their full affection and obedience because it leads to life and blessing.

🔥 Application

Understanding that “Elohim is a jealous Elohim” should stir us to:

  • Reject all idolatry (physical or mental)

  • Worship Him in spirit and in truth (John 4:24)

  • Keep His commandments and walk in covenant loyalty

  • Recognize the spiritual dangers of compromising truth with false religion (Revelation 13:11 warns of false worship that looks innocent but speaks as a dragon)

The Ten Commandments

Here are The Ten Commandments as written in the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible, found in Exodus 20:1–17:

1. Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
Exodus 20:3
“Thou shalt have no other gods before me.”

2. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image.
Exodus 20:4-6
“Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy
Elohim am a jealous Elohim, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.”

3. Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy Elohim in vain.
Exodus 20:7
“Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy Elohim in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.”

4. Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Exodus 20:8–11
“Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy
Elohim: in it thou shalt not do any work,
thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant,
nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is,
and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.”

5. Honour thy father and thy mother.
Exodus 20:12
“Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy Elohim giveth thee.”

6. Thou shalt not kill.
Exodus 20:13
“Thou shalt not kill.”

7. Thou shalt not commit adultery.
Exodus 20:14
“Thou shalt not commit adultery.”

8. Thou shalt not steal.
Exodus 20:15
“Thou shalt not steal.”

9. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
Exodus 20:16
“Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.”

10. Thou shalt not covet.
Exodus 20:17
“Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house,
thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife,
nor his manservant, nor his maidservant,
nor his ox, nor his ass,
nor any thing that is thy neighbour’s.”

These commandments were given by Elohim to Moses on Mount Sinai and remain foundational to biblical morality.

Summarized the Ten Commandments

Yahshua Messiah summarized the Ten Commandments into two great commandments, which capture the heart and essence of the entire Law:

📖 Matthew 22:36–40 (KJV)
“Master, which is the great commandment in the law?”
Yahshua said unto him,

“Thou shalt love the Lord thy Elohim with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
This is the first and great commandment.
And the second is like unto it,
Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.”

✅ The Two Great Commandments Summarized:

  1. Love The Lord your Elohim with all your heart, soul, and mind
    – This summarizes Commandments 1–4, which deal with our relationship with Elohim:

    • No other gods

    • No idols

    • Do not take His Name in vain

    • Keep the Sabbath holy

  2. Love your neighbour as yourself
    – This summarizes Commandments 5–10, which govern our relationship with others:

    • Honour parents

    • Do not kill

    • Do not commit adultery

    • Do not steal

    • Do not bear false witness

    • Do not covet

Yahshua did not abolish the commandments but fulfilled and magnified them, showing that true obedience comes from a heart of love. As He said:

📖 John 14:15 (KJV)
“If ye love me, keep my commandments.”

Revelation 13:11 (KJV)

Revelation 13:11 (KJV) in the context of Yahshua’s words about worship and the second commandment—“Thou shalt not bow down thyself…”—as well as how this relates to A. N. Dugger’s teaching and the theme of idolatry and false worship.

📖 Revelation 13:11 (KJV)

“And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.”

🔍 What does Revelation 13:11 mean?

This verse introduces the second beast, often interpreted in prophetic understanding—especially by historic Church of Elohim teachers like A. N. Dugger—as a religious power that rises after the first beast (from the sea, v. 1), which is commonly seen as representing papal Rome.

  • The second beast has “two horns like a lamb” — symbolizing a form of religious innocence or profession of Messiah.

  • But it “spake as a dragon” — meaning it carries the voice and authority of Satan, the dragon of Revelation 12:9.

This is a false religious system that appears Christ-like but promotes false worship and idolatry, leading many to bow down to the first beast (Rev. 13:12–15).

💡 How does this connect to "Thou Shalt Not Bow Down"?

Let’s align it:

  1. Second Commandment (Exodus 20:4–5):

“Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image… Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them…”

  2. Revelation 13 shows a global deception:

    • People are pressured to worship the image of the beast (v. 15).

    • This is a direct violation of the Second Commandment.

    • Those who refuse are threatened with death (Rev. 13:15).

  3. A. N. Dugger and the Church of Elohim (7th Day) emphasized:

    • That modern image worship, even when disguised under true worship terms (crosses, statues of Mary, saints, or even “Jesus”), is a continuation of Babylonian idolatry.

    • That end-time prophecy involves a revival of this false worship system, led by religious powers with political influence—like the lamb-like beast in Revelation 13:11.

📖 Yahshua’s Warning on Worship

📖 “Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.”
—John 4:22 (KJV)

📖 “But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth...”
—John 4:23 (KJV)

Yahshua made it clear: worship must be true and spiritual—not physical or image-based.

⚠️ Final Warning: Revelation 14:9–10

Those who worship the beast or his image receive the mark and face Elohim’s judgment:

“If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark... The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of ELOHIM…” (Rev. 14:9–10)

🛡️ Summary & Application

  • Revelation 13:11 is a prophetic warning of a deceptive religious system that promotes idolatry under the guise of righteousness.

  • It violates the Second Commandment by leading people to bow, worship, and serve an image—just as Israel did with the golden calf (Exodus 32).

  • Yahshua warned of false messiahs and prophets (Matthew 24:24), and Revelation reveals this is not just deception, but a test of obedience in the end times.

  • Those who refuse to bow—like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah—will be preserved.

The Bible Name for the Church

Church of Elohim: The True Name

Preamble

“And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name.”
Isaiah 62:2 (KJV)

“For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Yahshua Messiah is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an anti-Messiah.”

2 John 1:7 (KJV)

“Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Messiah, hath not Elohim. He that abideth in the doctrine of Messiah, he hath both the Father and the Son.”
2 John 1:9 (KJV)

The name of the true Church is not a product of man-made councils, creeds, or denominational branding. It is a divine identity, proclaimed by the mouth of Elohim Himself, revealed through His Word, and preserved by His faithful remnant. The Scriptures declare twelve times that the early believers bore the name “The Church of Elohim”, a name not of invention, but of inspiration — purchased with the blood of Yahshua Messiah (Acts 20:28).

In the historical record A History of the True Church by A.N. Dugger and C.O. Dodd, this truth rings out with consistency and conviction. Page after page confirms that, though the world has assigned many labels to the saints; Nazarenes, Sabbath-keepers, heretics the remnant never lost sight of their divine identity. As the authors affirm:

“While the name given these people by the world during this period was ‘Nazarenes,’ still they were known among themselves by the Bible name, ‘The Church of Elohim.’” (p. 11)

The Church was to be “called by a new name,” and this name, revealed in the New Testament and embraced by the faithful, WAS NOT Seventh-day Adventist, not Catholic, not Baptist AND NOT all these others names that hundreds of ''Messianic'' splinter groups are using today in Kenya and world over, but the Church of Elohim. It is this name that reflects both ownership and relationship — the assembly purchased, purified, and preserved by the Most High.

As Dugger and Dodd record:

“This also met its fulfillment when Yahshua gave the new name for the church recorded twelve times in the New Testament, viz., ‘The Church of Elohim.’” (p. 2)

Those early saints “clung to the true name,” as page 36 recounts, and ministered with the sacred identity, declaring not a sectarian title, but the original and inspired designation.

Today, in a time of fragmentation and spiritual confusion, the call to return to the true name of the Church is more than a matter of semantics; it is a return to the foundation laid by the apostles and prophets, Yahshua Messiah Himself being the chief cornerstone (Ephesians 2:20).

A Doctrinal Lesson with Full KJV Verses and Commentary– The Bible Name for the Church

QUESTIONS &ANSWERS

1. Was there a church in existence while the children of Israel were in the wilderness?

“This is he, that was in the church in the wilderness with the angel which spake to him in the mount Sina, and with our fathers: who received the lively oracles to give unto us:”
Acts 7:38 (KJV)

Explanation:
This verse confirms that the church did not begin at Pentecost, but was already active during the time of Moses. It identifies the children of Israel as the early assembly or "church" under divine instruction. This church was entrusted with the "lively oracles" — the commandments and covenant — establishing continuity between Israel and the New Testament ecclesia.

2. After Yahshua Messiah came, did He establish a church that would continue through the ages?

“And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”
Matthew 16:18 (KJV)

Explanation:
Yahshua affirms that His assembly would be built upon a sure foundation, and no force, not even the grave (hades), would overcome it. The "rock" is not Peter, but Elohim — the Father (see Matthew 16:17), upon whom the spiritual house is built (Ephesians 2:20). This confirms the church's continuous existence through all generations.

3. Who is the Head of this Church?

“And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.”
Colossians 1:18 (KJV)

Explanation:
Yahshua Messiah, not any human pope, bishop, or committee, is the sole Head of the Church. As the firstborn from the dead, He holds supremacy and spiritual authority over the body — His ecclesia.

4. If Messiah is the Head of the Church, who is the Head of Messiah?

“But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Messiah; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Messiah is Elohim.”
1 Corinthians 11:3 (KJV)

Explanation:
There is divine order in spiritual headship: Elohim is the Head of Messiah, Messiah is the Head of man, and so forth. Thus, the church that Messiah established operates under the authority of Elohim through Yahshua.

5. By what name is the Church called in Scripture?

“Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of Elohim.”
1 Corinthians 10:32 (KJV)

Explanation:
The apostles called the body of believers the Church of Elohim, not by denominations, sects, or man's titles. This name appears repeatedly, always emphasizing the divine origin and ownership of the assembly.

6. Is the Church of Elohim in Yahshua Messiah?

“For ye, brethren, became followers of the churches of Elohim which in Judaea are in Messiah Yahshua.”
1 Thessalonians 2:14 (KJV)

Explanation:
The true Church of Elohim is in Messiah Yahshua — it obeys His teachings, bears His Spirit (Word), and walks in His commandments. It is not merely organizational, but spiritual in nature.

7. What church did Messiah purchase with His own blood?

“Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of Elohim, which he hath purchased with his own blood.”
Acts 20:28 (KJV)

Explanation:
The Church of Elohim was purchased by Yahshua’s sacrificial death. It belongs to no man or movement, but solely to Elohim through His Son.

8. What is this Church declared to be?

“But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of Elohim, which is the church of the living Elohim, the pillar and ground of the truth.”
1 Timothy 3:15 (KJV)

Explanation:
The Church of Elohim is described as the house of Elohim and the pillar and ground of the truth. This means it upholds the Word, teaches righteousness, and preserves the commandments of Elohim.

9. What church was located in Corinth?

“Unto the church of Elohim which is at Corinth...”
1 Corinthians 1:2 (KJV)

Explanation:
Even local assemblies bore the divine name — not the “Church of Corinth” or “Corinthian Fellowship,” but the Church of Elohim at Corinth, affirming identity with the universal body.

10. What are the members of this Church called to be?

“Unto the church of Elohim which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Messiah Yahshua, called to be saints...”
1 Corinthians 1:2 (KJV)

Explanation:
The members of the Church of Elohim are called to be saints — sanctified, set apart, obedient to the commandments and teachings of Yahshua.

11. What governs the lives of these saints?

“Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of Elohim, and the faith of Yahshua.”
Revelation 14:12 (KJV)

Explanation:
The saints — members of the true Church of Elohim — are identified not only by faith, but by keeping the commandments of Elohim, which grace enables, not annuls.

12. What is the name of the family of Elohim in heaven and earth?

“For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Yahshua Messiah, of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named.”
Ephesians 3:14–15 (KJV)

Explanation:
The family of Elohim — both in heaven and earth — is named after Him. Therefore, the Church that bears His name, “Church of Elohim,” aligns with the divine identity.

13. What church did Paul persecute before his conversion?

“For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of Elohim.”
1 Corinthians 15:9 (KJV)
“For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of Elohim, and wasted it.”
Galatians 1:13 (KJV)

Explanation:
Paul persecuted not a man-made institution but the Church of Elohim — the true assembly of the faithful, prior to becoming its greatest apostolic advocate.

Note:

At first, Paul was the most ardent persecutor of the Church of Elohim, but once he received divine revelation, he became a member and teacher in that same church. He went from tearing down to building up, from opposing to upholding.

Just like Paul, many today have been misled by denominationalism and man-made names. But the truth calls us back — back to the name revealed by Elohim, confirmed by Yahshua, and written twelve times in Scripture:
Church of Elohim.

✦ Call to Action: Return to the True Name

Elohim is calling His people in these last days to return to the ancient paths — not just in Sabbath-keeping, holiness, and sound doctrine, but also in bearing the true name of His assembly.

“Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls.”
Jeremiah 6:16 (KJV)

If you are part of a congregation or fellowship that does not uphold the biblical name given by Elohim, now is the time to examine, to return, and to proclaim it without shame:

We are not just a church. We are the Church of Elohim — purchased with the blood of His Son.

Stand with the remnant. Teach others. Embrace the name that honors the Father and testifies of the Son. Share this message, teach it in your homes, publish it among the assemblies. Do not be ashamed of the name written in heaven.

“And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels.”
Malachi 3:17 (KJV)
