Called to walk in the Spirit and crucify the flesh:

🌿 Fruits of the Spirit vs. Works of the Flesh – The Battle Within the Believer

Galatians 5:16–25 (KJV) lays out a spiritual contrast that every follower of Yahshua must face daily.

⚔️ Song of Solomon 2:15 (KJV)

“Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes.”

  • “For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other…” (Galatians 5:17)

This is not symbolic — it is a real, ongoing war within the life of every Messianic believer. The flesh, or the carnal nature inherited from Adam, is at enmity with the Spirit of Elohim. One must die daily to the flesh to live unto Messiah.

💀 Works of the Flesh (Galatians 5:19–21)

These are the natural fruits of a life not led by the Spirit:

  • Adultery, fornication, uncleanness

  • Idolatry, witchcraft

  • Hatred, variance, emulations

  • Wrath, strife, seditions, heresies

  • Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings

“…they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of Elohim.”

This is not just a warning — it's a final judgment. These works must be crucified in every true believer.

🌱 Fruits of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22–23)

These are not human efforts — they are the evidence of the indwelling Spirit of Elohim:

  • Love (agape – selfless concern for others)

  • Joy (deep, abiding gladness in truth)

  • Peace (rest and unity with Elohim)

  • Longsuffering (patience under pressure)

  • Gentleness, Goodness, Faith

  • Meekness, Temperance (self-control)

“Against such there is no law.”

These fruits are proof of true transformation — not emotion-driven religion, but Spirit-powered righteousness.

🛡️ The Messianic Struggle

As believers in Yahshua the Messiah, we are called to walk in the Spirit and crucify the flesh:

“And they that are Messiah's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.” (Galatians 5:24)

  • We wrestle daily against fleshly desires.

  • We submit to Elohim, resisting the devil (James 4:7).

  • We put on the whole armour (Ephesians 6) and stand firm.

✅ Final Thought

The true Messianic believer in the Church of Elohim (Seventh Day) must walk by the Spirit, bearing His fruit, and put to death the flesh. This is not optional — it is the evidence of salvation, the path to victory, and the life of holiness Elohim requires.

“If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.” (Galatians 5:25)

Song of Solomon 2:15 (KJV)

“Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes.”
